LUCKY

Recently, Scottish jazz singer Cathie Rae contacted me about using my "Lucky" artwork on her cd cover. I was so excited and honored. As a kid, I always dreamed of designing art for album covers. So, I'm checking that item off my bucket list.

It's an amazing cd with original songs along with old standards such as "La Vie En Rose". The music is perfect background when I'm creating art.

You can purchase Cathie's cd here.

RESPOND left near Glacier National Park, MT

joanell connolly left RESPOND at The Park Cafe in St. Mary's at the east side of Glacier National Park  in Montana. She saw a woman pick it up, show it to her friends and kept it. It's so cool to hear that someone liked it enough to pick it up. I hope that she leaves a comment.

Art Bombing Follow up

Diana Eicher emailed me this photo of the artwork she left at Minneapolis College of Art and Design where she works. It's fun to see where the artwork is being left.

Diana, also, left one for her nephew, Spencer, to find. He is going to leave that artwork at his summer job in the art room at the St. Mark's school in St. Paul, MN.

Thanks Diana and Spencer for playing along!

Update: SDA Conference Artwork

I had such an amazing time at the SDA Conference in San Antonio, TX! I will blog about it soon on my other blog. Right now, I'm getting things ready to go back to my day job on Tuesday.

I did want to take a moment to mention how fun it was to leave my artwork around San Antonio and the SDA Conference. One woman, who was visiting from China found "Renew" at the SDA Fashion Show. She ask if I had another one for her to bring to China next month. I gave her "Enrich". Her favorite color is green so, she may keep "Enrich" and take "Renew" to China. I'm excited to see if the person who finds it will leave a comment.

While we were talking, my friend, Georgia, was listening and mentioned that she would like to take one to Brazil with her this week. I gave her the artwork with the US stamps. Again, it will be exciting to see if the person who finds the artwork in Brazil will post a comment.

A new friend, Diana, from Minnesota is interested in this project. I ask her if I could send her a few to leave in her area. She graciously agreed. At the time, I didn't have any artwork left so, I will make a few more and send them on their way to Minnesota.

Let me tell you how overjoyed I am that people want to participate in this project. One of the best parts about being an artist is having people positively engage in my work.

Angel #59 and Rebel #60

It's been awhile since I left artwork. As they say "Life got in the way". This week I'm leaving two. On Saturday, March 9th is going to be a busy day so, I have 3 places that I can leave these 2 pieces.

In the morning, I'm going to see "Fiber Forward" exhibit at the Palos Verdes Art Center. In the afternoon, Artistic Expressions meeting. Then I'm going to wrap up my day by attending the evening opening reception of San Fernando Valley Arts Council's "Definitions" exhibit. I have 2 of my fiber pieces included in this exhibit.

If you find one of this pieces, I would love to hear from you.
