Welcome! This blog supports a project I started in 2011. I’m going to leave a piece of art in a public place. The motivation for this project is that I feel that art should be available to everyone. If you find one of the artworks, I would love to hear from you. Please post a comment and let me know if you are going to keep the artwork or pass it on?

READ
"Read" is the word for this week. Besides making art, reading is my next favorite thing to do. Have you read any good books lately?
Yes, Sacre Bleu by Christopher Moore about color, Van Gogh and the French Impressionists and post impressionists. There's a bit of magical realism thrown in for good measure.
Bridget recently put the art she found (#57) out and I was reminded about this blog, so I came here and looked at all the pieces (quite the collection) and read all the comments. This one about Sacre Bleu caught my eye and so I put in a request for it at our local library. I picked it up today and am already four chapters in - I can't put it down! So, thanks Deborah for the tip, and thank you Mia for the art and for this forum. And Westley and Buttercup thank you for the peacock feathers that arrived today!

ReplyDeleteSounds interesting, Deborah. I'll add it to my reading list.
