Welcome! This blog supports a project I started in 2011. I’m going to leave a piece of art in a public place. The motivation for this project is that I feel that art should be available to everyone. If you find one of the artworks, I would love to hear from you. Please post a comment and let me know if you are going to keep the artwork or pass it on?
Collage #7 and #8 will be left somewhere in Palm Springs, CA this weekend. More collages usingbleeding tissue paper but this time I've incorporated a bit of machine stitching.
This piece will be left at It's A Grind Coffee House in Murrieta. I've been playing around a lot with bleeding tissue paper in my collages. This piece was made by layering matte medium so it dried in peaks. Then I adhered different bleeding tissue paper on top. Overlapping in areas. I hope whoever picks it up will enjoy it.
I'm heading out to Road to California today and going to leave this artwork there. I made the paper in a workshop given by Mary Beth Schwartzenberger. The paper is adhered to the canvas board background of brown tissue paper with Weldbond.
